This place was so good, but be prepared to wait! We got there around 6 to put our name down and the wait was already 30 min. I love how the inside is decorated, especially the lanterns on the patio. Our waiter was nice and we put in our order quickly. We got the curry fries, chicken pad see ew, and fried tofu pad thai. The curry fries were delicious, but pretty spicy. Both the noodle dishes were flavorful and the noodles weren't mushy. I do wish there was a little more protein in each dish though. This place is definitely worth the hype!

Very hip, modern Thai diner in the Nolita neighborhood with interesting spin on Thai dishes. Definitely go there for the vibes. We went on a Monday evening and waited about 45 mins. It was fine because we just walked around and got some snacks around Chinatown. For food: - the Spicy Red Snapper was delicious. Sauce goes so well with rice. - the Stuffed Cabbage was also very good, with a nice spicy kick to it - the Fai Dang veggies were very rich and flavorful, a nice balance to the rest of the meal - the Purple Sticky Rice was a little too mushy but provides a general, neutral base to the other vibrant flavors on the table - the Oysters were alright, nothing too special - the Bucatini was great; nothing like I've ever eaten before; it's like a Green Curry fused with Italian bucatini pasta, with crunchy rice bits on top. Very delicious Service was solid. Staff was nice.

Thai Diner in Chinatown is a true gem for those craving authentic Thai food with a modern twist. The place is beautifully decorated with artistic aesthetics, making it perfect for Instagram shots and an ideal date spot. Despite the name, the food here is far from typical diner fare. We tried the crab fried rice, pulpo (octopus), roti canai, and green curry--each dish was a heavenly treat for the taste buds. My personal favorite was the rice and octopus, which were cooked to perfection. And don't miss out on their espresso martini; it's fantastic. The service was impeccable, with highly informed staff who helped us navigate their extensive menu and choose great dishes. The overall dining experience was amazing, and I'd definitely go back. If you're looking for authentic and delicious Thai food, Thai Diner is the place to be.

Thai Diner is now one of my all-time favorite restaurants! We arrived on a Sunday (late) afternoon and waited only 20 minutes to be seated. The interior had beautiful Thai-inspired decor, with jungle vibes. The menu featured so many innovative options, we had a hard time deciding what to order. We skipped drinks and chose some of the most popular items to share - Thai Disco Fries, Uncle Boon's Crab Fried Rice, and Thai Tea Babka French Toast. Service was friendly and impressively fast! The Thai Disco Fries came out first and rocked our world. I usually don't love crinkle cut fries, but these went so well with the spicy massaman curry and coconut cream. It was unlike any dish I'd tasted before and the perfect portion size for a shared appetizer. Uncle Boon's Crab Fried Rice was also amazing - so flavorful, pretty spicy. It had plenty of large chunks of crab, and we ended up taking half of this dish to-go. The Thai Tea Babka French Toast was insane. The texture of the french toast was perfect, the Thai tea flavor of the butter was super strong, and it went perfectly with the salty condensed milk. The little balls of dragon fruit didn't taste like much, but otherwise this dish was incredible. Again, so unique! This was more than enough food for two people, and we had leftovers to bring home. Overall, I'm obsessed - will return for more!
